Trento is a very elegant town, enriched by precious works of art and Romanic, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque buildings. Prehistoric and Neolithic findings were discovered here. Trento was founded along a river, in a strategic point among the valleys of Adige, Cembra, Fiemme e Fassa and Valsugana, it represents a link between Brennero to Dolomites, Lake of Garda and Verona and Venice. In the north the town is protected by Adige River.

Trento is a "mountain" town that loves nature, as two important festivals testify: Filmfestival "Città di Trento" and "Città in giardino"; Trento actually loves its mountains, in fact there are several alpine choirs that sing their songs in the important days going from the valley to the top of the mountains.

The town is a very modern one but preserves the signs of the past, for example of its most important event, the Ecumenical Council of 1545-1563.
