Handcraft is very developed, too: the most important production is that of masks inspired by ‘Commedia dell’Arte’, the wonderful blown glass of Murano is very famous, too, together with lace of Burano. Marble-paper is a typical product: paper sheet are put in a gummy solution and then they are painted.

In Marghera industry is very well developed. It started to develop in 1917 and since then this industrial pole has "stolen" its lands from the lagoon.

The harbor is very well developed, too, and it is an important element in Venetian economy.
