Sabaudia
Sabaudia is on the banks of Paola Lake and is surrounded by a wonderful park, Parco Nazionale del Circeo. Thanks to its beauties, many tourists, not only common people, but also important personalities of cultural world and show business, choose Sabaudia every year. The coast is sandy, and a wood covers it. Along the coast, there is a promontory (Circeo) and four lakes: Sabaudia (or di Paola), dei Monaci, di Caprolace and di Fogliano.
The town was built in the area drained during Fascist period and it is a perfect combination of nature and urban settlements. The lake has a long shape and it is linked to the sea thanks to a canal. It is a very important rowing centre known at an international level. It gives hospitality to important international competitions during the whole year; here many athletes train, they come from all over the world, especially from the countries with very cold winters, where it is not possible to train because of ice.
The sea is among the most beautiful in Italy: beaches are wide and clean. Water is uncontaminated, the seabed is rich, colours are wonderful and relaxing, air is sparkling, and weather is mild. Sabaudia is the perfect place for a relaxing, but also exciting holiday; it is a real "garden".
