Tourism is the most important resource. Tourists do love Capo Vaticano because of its wonderful sea. A maritime park will be probably created to safeguard the seabed, the rocks, the flora and the fauna.
Onions from Capo Vaticano are famous all over the world, especially in Munich, Stockholm and in the United States. The most famous onion is red and oval. The flavour is sweet and tasty and it is used in many dishes. Cheeses and dairy products from Poro are very well known, too.
Handcraft is very important: traditions are very well preserved in this area. Items made with wood and ceramics are very good. Gastronomy is well developed, too, a typical product is the ‘Nduja, a soft, spicy hot salami.
Fishing is practised on the coast.
