Prignano Cilento is part of "Città del vino", an association of all the towns that give their name to a wine. It is a national association. The members collaborate to offer to citizens a better quality for wine but also for life.

Agriculture is very important, the main products are olives, pears, pomegranates and white figs.

Salami and cheeses are very tasteful (sheep’s cheese is really good).

Handicraft is dedicated to embroidery and laces.

Some old farmers carve the wood creating tools and other objects. Wicker workers make baskets of many different sizes and shapes.
