Statua del Redentore: only the statue of Rio de Janeiro is bigger than this one. The statue portraying the Redeemer is on the top of S. Biagio Mountain and with his open arms seems to protect the town. It is 22 m tall.

Basilica di S. Biagio: this basilica was built between VI and VII century a. C.. It contains several works of art, for example the relics of S. Biagio, a fresco portraying Our Lady, of XV century, and a precious basso-relievo portraying the Annunciation (XVII century).

Chiesetta della Madonna degli Ulivi: this small church contains frescoes of XIV-XV century.

Chiesa dell’Immacolata: this church contains a beautiful fresco of XIV century. Maybe it portrays the First Council of Jerusalem.

Portali: in Maratea there are wonderful portals, such as the stone ones (XV-XVI century) of Casa Calderano, Palazzo d’Orlando, Palazzo Tarantini, Casa Marini d’Armenia.

Convento dei Minori Osservanti: the monastery was built in XVI century. It has a wonderful XVI century cloister.

Convento dei Frati Cappuccini: the monastery of Capuchins was built in XVII century; it contains an interesting museum with archaeological findings, especially of Roman Age.

Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore: the side of the church is decorated by marble angels (XV century) with a Middle Age bell tower, a beautiful wood choir of XIII century like the portal, and paintings of Neapolitan School.

Grotta di Marina: this cave contains interesting stalactites, stalagmites and a wonderful seabed.

Chiesa del Rosario: the church dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary contains a beautiful cloister of XVII century.

Chiesa dell’Annunziata: the church dedicated to the Annunciation contains a basso-relievo portraying it and a bust of S. Biagio, both of 1600.

Marathia inferior: the ancient village, on a side of S. Biagio Mountain. The ancient Middle Ages design is showed by the very narrow alleys.

Museo De Lieto: this museum contains ah exhibition dedicated to the underwater world. There are many interesting findings of Roman age, such as the anchors.
