Prignano Cilento is one of the best places in Cilento where you can enjoy relax, nature, sea and history

Prignano Cilento is located above an hill where the climate is not so hot as the cities located in the Agropoli seaside (  the temperature is lower than two celsius degrees as average).

Very good place for families with children or for people that like sea, mountain, and lake.
Its position offers to the tourist spectacular panoramas where you can enjoy the sea or the oasis of the Alento river and where you can find three different natural habitats:
the river  with its forests, the artificial lake, Mediterranean vegetation

In the Oasis of Alento river it is possible to observe rare animals like the Otter or birds called "occhione " or "ghiandaia marina".

The Oasis has all the equipment for making children happy, pic nic areas; it also has a lot of space for activities like trekking, walks with horses or in mountain-bike, excursions in canoe, bird-watching, sport fishing.

For people who like ancient history it is suggested to visit the ancient and famous city of Paestum (about 11 Km far from Prignano) with its Templi and its museum.
Interesting is also the historical center of Prignano Cilento, the ancient village  of Melito with its medieval tower and more than 160 rural houses.

Saint Nicholas Feast on Easter Monday is very interesting. According to a legend Saint Nicholas saved three young women from prostitution giving them money. L’Opera "ri Turchi" (Turks’ opera) in Prignano Cilento celebrates this event with two theatre performances about the life of the Saint.
